Received her Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from the Ateneo de Manila University School of Law in 2007 and was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2008. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and International Relations from the University of the Philippines and Waseda University in Tokyo in 2003.
Relevant Experiences

• Involved in litigation work (civil, criminal, appellate and administrative), composed mostly of making appearances in court and other administrative tribunals, drafting and review of legal pleadings, developing case theories and strategies and assisting clients in amicably settling disputes.

• Involved in labor work, which work includes drafting and review of legal pleadings filed in the National Labor Relations Commission (NLRC) and appeal in the Court of Appeals.

• Part of the team that assists a pioneering multi-national mortgage servicing platform that combines functional competencies in Mortgage Finance Origination and Credit Underwriting, Loan Servicing, Default Management, Property Management and Secondary Market Development. Scope of work includes drafting and review of legal pleadings and documents relating to petitions for issuance of ex-parte writ of possession and making appearances in court.

• Acts as assisting counsel for a business process outsourcing (BPO) company, attending to their various concerns such as application for the approval of their Income Tax Holiday (ITH) extension, expansion of their project, importation and other operational requirements. Scope of work includes providing legal and practical advice and solutions to the client on tax, corporate and labor matters, preparation of necessary submissions and annexes, coordinating with regulatory agencies such as PEZA, Bureau of Customs and local government units (LGUs) and conducting contract reviews.

• Assisted in the due diligence and preparation of reports on non-performing loans and non-performing assets of various banks for the purchase of special purpose vehicles pursuant to the Special Purpose Vehicle Act of 2002.

• Acted as local counsel tasked in handling tax assessment disputes from the level of the Bureau of Internal Revenue level up to the Court of Tax Appeals; providing legal advice to corporations registered with the Philippine Economic Zone Authority regarding pre-registration, registration, post-registration and incentive concerns; providing legal advice to clients on corporate finance and corporate structure; providing legal advice to clients on Labor, Tax and Employment issues and performance of Corporate Secretarial work for various corporations.

• Acts as corporate secretary and general counsel to different corporations, stock and non-stock. Work includes incorporation, drafting legal opinions, preparation of minutes of meetings, secretary’s certificates and the preparation of documents for filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, contract review and drafting documents for various corporate transactions and corporate filings.
