ZEFERINO M. ARROYO VI

Received his Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of the Philippines in 1993 and his Bachelor of Laws from the same university in 1997. He was a member of the editorial staff of the Philippine Law Journal while in law school. Formerly serving as a Securities Counsel at the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) from 2001 to 2002, he clerked for Justice Leonardo A. Quisumbing of the Supreme Court from 1999 until 2001. He was also formerly employed with Platon Martinez Flores San Pedro & Leano Law Offices. He was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 1999.

Relevant Experiences

• Acting as counsel for security service companies and employer clients in various cases filed before the National Labor Relations Commission ("NLRC").

• Involved in all aspects of general and appellate litigation, including the drafting of pleadings, appearances before the regular courts and administrative agencies, and consulting and strategizing with clients and co-counsel.

• Served as counsel for the Securities and Exchange Commission ("SEC") in the administrative cases filed in connection with the market manipulation of the price of Best World Resources Corporation ("BW") shares, which were settled by several securities brokers with the SEC.

• Acted as counsel for the SEC in the prosecution of "boiler room" cases involving the fraudulent sale of shares of stock by unlicensed brokers using high-pressure sales tactics, and other securities-related cases.

• Assisted the National Bureau of Investigation ("NBI") in the investigation and prosecution of securities fraud cases.

• Participated in training programs conducted by the Supreme Court, the SEC, the USAID, and the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation ("FBI") for the benefit of the Department of Justice ("DOJ") and commercial court judges of various Regional Trial Courts.
