October 5, 2011

PJS LAW has been voted as 2011 “In-House Community Firm of the Year” in the Philippines for Energy & Natural Resources in a survey conducted by ASIAN-MENA Counsel among in-house counsels and buyers of legal services in Asia and the Middle East. The results of the 5th Annual Survey of In-House Counsel Along the New Silk Road was released and published in the most recent issue of ASIAN-MENA Counsel Magazine.

The distinction is based on the nominations and testimonials carried out by ASIAN-MENA to 17,000 in-house lawyers to determine the most preferred external counsel for a specific jurisdiction and area of practice. For the Philippines, under the category “Energy & Natural Resources”, PJS LAW was the sole awardee or recognized firm. According to ASIAN-MENA, “[w]here applicable, both domestic and international firms have been recognized as ‘Winners’…In addition to the winning firms, ‘Honourable Mentions’ have been awarded to law firms that have received notable in-house recognition, and in the event of significant votes but no outright winner in a category, we have named all the firms as ‘Honourable Mentions’.”

Regina Jacinto-Barrientos, Managing Partner, said, “We are honored and challenged by this recognition. The growth of our Energy Practice side by side with the success of our clients as industry leaders is truly a source of pride for our Firm. At the same time, we are reminded to be consistent in delivering the brand of service which has distinguished PJSLAW from all others.”
