2012 Economic Briefing Hosted by PJS Law Foundation

January 27, 2012

The Philippine economy is expected to continue its strong performance for 2012 and will attain GDP growth of 5.5%. This was the forecast of Dr. Josef T. Yap, President of Philippines Institute for Development Studies, during an economic briefing held last 11 January 2012. Dr. Yap noted, however, that the threat of rising food and fuel prices continues to be a threat to the growth of the economy. The economic briefing is an annual event sponsored by PJS Law Foundation so that it may provide indicators and trends for PJS and its clients in relation to its strategic plans for the coming year.
