MWSS considers reviving Laiban Dam project

The Public Private Partnership Center of the Philippines (PPPC) has announced in a briefing that the government is thinking of reviving the Laiban Dam project through PPP scheme.

News report said that MWSS is currently conducting studies for the viability of the New Centennial Water Source (NCWS) project. The PhP85B project will include the construction of two dams, the conveyance structure, water treatment facility and hydropower facility. The project is expected to add a capacity of 1,800 million liters per day upon completion. The project is expected to be roll out by third quarter of this year.

The MWSS will be assisted by the consortium of Rebel Group, Allen & Overy, Crisil, PJS Law and Royal Haskoning DHV as transaction advisor for the said project.
