PPP Roadshow in Korea and Japan

Last November 22-25, 2011, PJS Law participated in a roadshow in Seoul and Tokyo to promote investments in the Public Private Partnership program of the Philippine Government. The roadshow was put together by Allen & Overy and it focused on opportunities and challenges in Southeast Asia, particularly the Philippines, Indonesia and Vietnam. The event kicked off at the Korea Exim Bank headquarters in Seoul where people from different Korean companies were invited to attend. Allen and Overy partners from London, Hong Kong, Indonesia and Australia flew in to share their knowledge and experience in PPP projects. PJS Law met separately with Samsung C&T, Seoyeong Engineering and the Korean office of ING Bank.

After Korea, the team headed to Tokyo where they met with Japanese companies such as Mitusi, Sumitomo, Marubeni and Hitachi. Allen and Overy also hosted a meeting at their Tokyo office where several Japanese banks and trading companies such as Mizuho, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corp, Toyota Tsusho, and Mitsubishi. The 4 day roadshow concluded with a meeting with the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC).
