Philippines PPP Projects shortlisted for the Partnerships Awards 2015

Three Philippine PPP projects, together with the Philippine PPP Center, made it to the shortlist for the Partnerships Awards 2015. Now on its 17th year, the Partnerships Awards is an annual event organized by the UK Partnerships Forum that recognizes the best PPP projects and organizations from around the globe over the previous two-year period.

PJSLaw – together with different teams of international advisors – assisted the Philippine PPP Center and relevant implementing agencies as transaction advisor in all three projects nominated for this award.

The Department of Education’s PPP for School Infrastructure Project bagged the nomination under the “Best Education Project” category while the Automatic Fare Collection System (AFCS) and the Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA) projects of the Department of Transportation and Communications garnered nominations under the “Best Transit Project” category.

Of the nine PPP projects that have been successfully bid out under President Aquino’s administration, PJS Law was a transaction advisor for four projects, which included the three nominated projects plus the Modernization of the Philippine Orthopedic Center.

PJS Law is currently a transaction advisor other PPP projects in the pipeline, including the Php18.7 B New Centennial Water Source-Kaliwa Dam Project, the Php50.18 B Regional Prison Facilities through PPP, and the Php370 B Mass Transit System Loop Project.

PJS Law is also actively advising private proponents and prospective bidders for other PPP projects.
