PJS Law Senior Partner is sole Filipina in the 3rd Women in Renewables Asia Awards
PJS Law is pleased to announce that Monalisa Dimalanta is one of the six “Distinguished Representatives” for the 3rd Women in Renewables Asia of the Year Award. She is the only Philippine awardee in this year’s run of the program, organized by the Women in Renewables Asia (WiRA), honoring select group of women in Asia-Pacific for their contribution to the promotion of renewable energy the region.
Mona currently serves as Chairperson of the Philippine National Renewable Energy Board since her appointment in March 2019. In this role, according to WiRA, she steers the performance by the Board in its mandate of monitoring the implementation of programs established under the Philippine Renewable Energy Act of 2008 and in formulating recommendations for new programs and policies to the Department of Energy (DOE) towards achieving the renewable energy targets of the country.
Mona is also Senior Partner of PJS Law and President & CEO of UNAWA Asia, a joint venture between PJS and Talino Venture Labs, establishing an inclusive startup that provides digital solutions to medium, small and micro enterprises (MSMEs) for compliance with corporate and regulatory, including data privacy requirements.
WiRA is the “first women’s NGO in Asia’s renewable energy industry dedicated to inspiring and empowering women working in the clean energy field, bringing better gender diversity in the workforce, and fostering greater industry pride in women executives and employees.” The Women in Renewables of the Year Awards recognizes the “positive impacts contributed by female members in the renewable energy industry and their remarkable accomplishments to organizations and business fields.”
