NPC extends the validity period of existing Certificates of Registration

The National Privacy Commission (“NPC”) announced that it is suspending the launch of the eRehistro, which is expected to be the NPC’s online registration platform. The launch was originally scheduled in June 2021.

As the launch of e-Rehistro is further deferred, the NPC also announced extending the validity periods of all existing Certificates of Registration issued for the years 2019 and 2020, to 8 March 2022. The NPC continues to accept registrations of data protection officers (i.e., Phase I registration) via its manual registration process.
