Effective April 1, 2022, Monalisa C. Dimalanta will be joining Aboitiz Power Corporation as Compliance Officer.

PJS Law wishes to thank Mona for her invaluable contributions to the firm and its team – from leading our Energy Practice to blazing trails in legal technology.

In her twenty years with PJS Law, Mona was instrumental in shaping the firm’s core values and guiding principles. Generous with both time and talent, Mona stood as mentor for many of our team members and teacher to countless students of the Ateneo Law School. She was a moving force in establishing the firm’s Energy Practice.  In 2019, Mona seamlessly transitioned from our Energy Practice Group to lead the National Renewable Energy Board as Chairperson, subsequently completing a fruitful two-year stint. During her term as Chairperson, the NREB helped establish the Green Energy Auction Program.

Mona has been recognized as a leading practitioner in the fields of Energy and Infrastructure and is consistently included in the Asian Business Law Journal’s Philippines’ top 100 lawyers. She is considered an Elite Practitioner for Energy by asialaw Profiles and is the sole awardee from the Philippines as Distinguished Representative in the 3rd Women in Renewables Asia Awards and the IFLR 1000 Women Leaders Award.

On her return to PJS Law in 2021, Mona led our initiatives in regulatory and legal technology. Mona also served as Chief Executive Officer of PJS Corporate Support, Inc. and as President and CEO of UNAWA Asia.

While we will surely miss Mona, we wish her success in her new role. She leaves the firm with a solid reputation as an Energy lawyer and an indelible legacy as our strategic partner.
